Student Nurse Preceptor:
Matching students and preceptors for the most successful clinical experience can be challenging. Whether mentoring, which concentrates on developing reciprocity and accountability or preceptor which focuses on clinical skill acquisition and socialization, nurse mentors have doctoral prepared and Advanced Practice Nurses to help prepare the next generation of nurses. Nurse Mentors also have experienced staff to assist you with dissertations, theses, capstones, and other major academic papers.
Consultation to Health Care Organization:
The clinical staff at Nurse Mentors will help your mental health facility prepare for major regulatory agency surveys with policy development and staff training.
Program Development Clinical Consultation
At Nurse Mentors we provide clinical consultation on a per patient, or per encounter basis. A clinical consultation is performed by an Advanced Practice Nurse and includes the following: a review of health history, case planning and exploration of linkages with existing resources in the medical community and other organizations upon request.
Medication Prescription and Management:
Gerda Williams, MSN, ARNP prescribes psychotropic medication at the center on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Her services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurances, and several manage care policies. Please contact us for specific information about insurance and to schedule an appointment.

The goals of policies can vary widely according to the organization and the context in which they are made. Policies are deliberate plan of action to guide decisions and achieve rational outcome. Depression:
Depression is the most common form of mental illness. Knowledge of the symptoms and treatment of depression modalities will provide a good base for working or coping with people who are experiencing a major depressive disorder.
Menopause:
The changes that occur in menopause have a pervasive effect on woman's general health. Changes in the balance between estrogen and progesterone level can case alteration in emotions and varying distressing physical symptoms.
Stress Management:
How we cope with stress may be one of the most single important factors to attaining and maintaining our good health and wellbeing. This training focuses on increasing stress awareness, and learning specific relaxation techniques.

The Staff at Nurse Mentors are well equipped to assist you in developing your ALF business from the planning stage to licensure and operation. We will develop your administrative policies that are required by the Agency for Health Care Administration for Licensure and Operation. We will assist you in preparing for bi-ennial AHCA survey. We will provide ongoing staff training to ensure that residents are cared for in the safest and most professional manner.
